Young French soprano Elsa Dreisig calls this album "an inner journey through the seasons of the soul". She and pianist Jonathan Ware perform a selection of works by three contrasting late Romantic composers – Richard Strauss, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Henri Duparc. Strauss’s much-loved Vier letzte Lieder, in their version for voice and piano, chart the album’s changing moods.
