Rouse: Symphony No. 5, Supplica & Concerto for Orchestra

The American composer Christopher Rouse, who died in September 2019 aged 70, was much acclaimed and frequently performed. This album from the Nashville Symphony and Giancarlo Guerrero presents three notable orchestral works: the Fifth Symphony with its recollections of Beethoven, the mournful and pensive Supplica, and the virtuosic Concerto for Orchestra.
