Veress String Trio / Bartók Piano Quintet
Cellist Nicolas Altstaedt, who succeeded Gidon Kremer as director of Austria's Lockenhaus International Chamber Music Festival in 2012, plays Bartók's Piano Quintet in C major with chamber music partners including violinists Vilde Frang and Barnabás Keleman. Altstaedt is also joined by Frang and violist Lawrence Power for a rarity: the String Trio of Sándor Veress, a student of Bartók's. Gramophone Award 2020. BBC Music Magazine Award Nominee 2020.
