About this event

Claudio Abbado and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra have taken Mahler’s most complex and compelling symphonies to a new level in this audiovisual recording. Following the acclaimed production of Mahler’s 9th in 2010, Claudio Abbado has now continued the cycle with the Adagio from the 10th, Mahler’s final composition. Beginning the programme is one of the most moving preludes to an opera ever composed: Wagner’s Prelude to Act I of Lohengrin.
