The King’s Singers: Heiwa
The King’s Singers present Heiwa, the second concert of their season in the Global Concert Hall. This unique programme explores Finding Harmony through a Japanese lens, with world premieres by Makiko Kinoshita and Eisuke Tsuchida.
The King's Singers were due to be touring Japan in October 2020 – starting in Hiroshima and finishing in Fukushima – and so this unique concert explores Finding Harmony through a Japanese lens, giving a rare insight into the way the group engages with different cultures around the world. The programme included world premieres of two works specially commissioned for the tour by two of Japan’s foremost contemporary choral composers, Makiko Kinoshita and Eisuke Tsuchida, on the theme of heiwa (peace; harmony).
