Handel and Haydn Society: Haydn’s The Creation
About this event
Enjoy the final concert of Harry Christophers’s 13 years at the helm of H+H. For this occasion, Harry serves up one of his specialties: Haydn’s choral masterpiece, The Creation, brimming with joy.
H+H presents this classic with all the freshness of its first performance, on the period instruments for which it was written, during Harry Christophers’s farewell concert.
Boston’s Grammy-winning Handel and Haydn Society is dedicated to performing Baroque and Classical music with a freshness, vitality, and creativity that inspires all ages. H+H has been captivating audiences for 208 consecutive seasons (the most of any performing arts organization in the United States). Today, H+H’s period-instrument Orchestra and Chorus delight more than 50,000 in-person listeners annually. H+H’s mission is to inspire the intellect, touch the heart, elevate the soul, and connect us with our shared humanity through transformative experiences with Baroque and Classical music.
