Internationale Hugo-Wolf-Akademie: Tribute to Franz Schubert
About this event
It still seems like a miracle that the 12th International Art Song Competition Stuttgart was able to take place in autumn 2020 – in the middle of the Corona pandemic! The International Hugo-Wolf-Academy is delighted to be able to continue supporting the prize-winning Lied partnerships of that special edition of the competition by presenting two of them in the Arts@Future series in IDAGIO's Global Concert Hall.
In February, First Prize-winners Konstantin Ingenpaß (baritone) and Hyun-hwa Park (piano), and Second Prize-winning duo Małgorzata Rocławska (soprano) & Olga Wien (piano) recorded an exclusive all-Schubert programme in the charming atmosphere of the "Fruchtkasten"/Haus der Musik of the Landesmuseum Württemberg in Stuttgart. In addition to such well-known songs as "Der Zweg", "Bei dir allein" and "Der Geistertanz", the varied programme includes "Der Hirt auf dem Felsen" (with clarinetist Adam Ambarzumjan), as well as other special arrangements of songs for clarinet and piano.
This concert is presented as part of the Arts@Future series in the IDAGIO Global Concert Hall, curated by the Hampsong Foundation.
