Acclaimed New Zealand conductor Gemma New will lead the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra for its annual not-to-be-missed performance of Handel’s Messiah in Wellington. A joyful end-of-year classic for three centuries, Messiah combines soloists, choir and orchestra in a dramatic celebration in music and song. The NZSO is joined by a cast drawn from the top tier of Australasian opera stars: soprano Anna Leese, mezzo-soprano Sarah Court, tenor Frederick Jones and bass Robert Tucker, ably supported by The Tudor Consort.
