Orchester Wiener Akademie: ReSound Beethoven
About this event
ReSound Beethoven presents the revolutionary "Eroica" Symphony in an authentic chamber version, performed on period instruments, including Beethoven's own fortepiano from 1818 – filmed in the historic "Emperor's House" in Baden, near Vienna and introduced by Martin Haselböck.
With ReSound Beethoven, Martin Haselböck and his Orchestra Wiener Akademie have brought Beethoven's Nine Symphonies to the venues of their first performances. The subsequent step in this series during the pandemic year includes a cycle of chamber versions of all the Symphonies.
Today you have the unique opportunity to experience Beethoven’s "Eroica" Symphony in a virtuoso version for piano quartet by his pupil Ferdinand Ries. The performers are Gottlieb Wallisch, who just recorded the Complete Beethoven Piano Concertos with Orchester Wiener Akademie, and three outstanding soloists: Ilia Korol (violin), Wolfram Fortin (viola) and Philipp Comploi (cello).
Wallisch plays on a historic fortepiano by Conrad Graf, Vienna 1818, which was played by Beethoven himself on several occasions.
The concert comes to you from "Kaiserhaus Baden'' near Vienna and will be presented by Martin Haselböck.
Your ticket purchase will directly support the participating artists through IDAGIO’s Fair Artist Payout Model: IDAGIO pays 80% of the net revenue directly to the performers.
This stream is available to watch until December 31, 2021.
