Through the years the Verbier Festival Academy has hosted soloists, chamber musicians and singers many of whom are today among the most famous artists.
One of them is the Israeli Violinist Vadim Gluzman who now works with the best orchestras in the world. Among the teachers of the artist who was born and raised in the ex Soviet Union was Zakhar Bron who also gives master classes at the Verbier Festival Academy. In an interview Gluzman has said: "I wish that all the barriers between the musicians on stage and their audience could be torn down." The Festival is also working in this direction. During their time in Verbier, participants of the programme "Reaching Out" lead public learning activities for children, youth and adults. They also work with their colleagues in the Academy and Orchestra programmes to undertake community engagement initiatives on the spot.
