Beethoven: Triple Concerto & Symphony No. 7
Three great performers join the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra for a triple celebration. Daniel Barenboim co-founded the orchestra 20 years ago, in 1999, as proof of the power of multicultural understanding. Twenty years before that, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Yo-Yo Ma made a legendary recording of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto under Karajan. And 2020 marks the 250th anniversary of that composer’s birth. Barenboim also conducts the Seventh Symphony.
