C.P.E. Bach: Cello Concertos
The three cello concertos by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach are performed by the Belgian cellist and composer Roel Dieltiens and period ensemble the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. Pre-dating the better known cello concertos of Boccherini and Haydn, these fascinating works were written between 1750 and 1753 and typify the composer's remarkably free, "fantastical" style.
