Beethoven: The Last Three Sonatas, Opp. 109-111
Legendary pianist Maurizio Pollini first recorded Beethoven's final three sonatas – among the pinnacles of the piano literature – in Munich's Herkulessaal, some 42 years ago. To mark Beethoven's 250th anniversary in 2020, his new recording was made in the very same venue – this time live in concert. Pollini says of these great works, "I have always discovered new riches in every detail."
