Fibich: Orchestral Works
Zdeněk Fibich wrote his third and final symphony just two years before his death in 1900, and it stands as a testament to the considerable melodic and atmospheric powers of this underappreciated Czech composer. It is presented here alongside two overtures and a funeral march as the fifth and final volume in Naxos’s survey of Fibich’s orchestral works. The Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra is conducted by Marek Štilec.
