The Hampsong Foundation: Song and Beyond - Episode II
The Hampsong Foundation takes over Thomas Hampson's World of Song series this month, presenting riveting conversations with scriptwriters and scholars from the foundation's Song of America and Song: Mirror of the World projects. Founded in 2003, The Hampsong Foundation creates platforms to support and proliferate the art of classic song—poetry set to music—from around the world as a means to enhance communication and understanding among cultures.
In this episode, Thomas will chat with Dr Michael Haas, who wrote the script for the foundation's Song: Mirror of the World program "Forbidden Music, Silenced Voices," and is the author of Forbidden Music: The Jewish Composers Banned by the Nazis. Dr Haas is also a Senior Researcher and Recording Producer at exil.arte. Now being produced in collaboration with The Hampsong Foundation, all episodes will be available on the Foundation's Facebook page, as well as YouTube.
