DVOŘÁK REQUIEM – with Czech Philharmonic Choir of Brno, Cappella Aquileia and Marcus Bosch
About this event
Antonín Dvořák´s requiem is doubtlessly one of the great contributions to the genre in music history. The number of movements is extended to 13(!), the sound is enriched by colorful instruments such as a gong and bells, the male voices are sometimes divided into four per section… a perfect work for the Czech Philharmonic Choir of Brno to display their unique qualities as the “natural” performers for the music of their compatriot Dvořák. From the beautiful Pauluskirche in Heidenheim, the choir joins forces with Cappella Aquileia and Marcus Bosch, who together have shown their brilliant expertise for this music in the first PURE DVOŘÁK event on IDAGIO on April 18.
