FS&MM 2022: Duo Kayaki/Ebina - Finals

About this event
The International Competition "Franz Schubert and Modern Music" (FS&MM) is a chamber music competition launched by the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in 1989. Since then, it has been offered every three years and brings young musicians from around the world to Graz. These offer the public a festival of chamber music lasting several days – with free admission.
From the outset, the aim was to relate Schubert's chamber music to new and recent works for appropriate instrumentations. In addition, the expansion of the chamber music repertoire with composition competitions and commissioned works is actively promoted.
In this clip, the duo Kayaki/Ebina, consisting of soprano Sawako Kayaki and pianist Haruka Ebina, performs lieder by Kaija Saariaho, Schubert, and Judith Weir, in the finals of the "Franz Schubert & Modern Music" Chamber Music Competition.
Stream available until December 31, 2024.
